Web31 de mar. de 2024 · A former High Sheriff of Suffolk, he was also one of the founder members of the Long Melford Archaeological and Historical Society, in 1969. He was born at Melford Hall in April 1937 and, for more than 50 years, worked in partnership with the National Trust to ensure the hall was saved for future generations. WebJohn co-founded the Long Melford Heritage Centre in 2012. He has been a Parish and District Councillor for 12 years and is currently the Babergh District Council representative on the Suffolk Museums management board. John was – and remains – the driving force behind the foundation of the Long Melford Heritage Centre.
